When Zak Darke's parents die in an unexplained mass murder, he finds himself orphaned and alone. Recruited by a shadowy government agency, known as Agent 21, Zak is thrust into the dangerous world of espionage. Under the guidance of the agency, he begins his training to follow in the footsteps of the mysterious Agent 21, whose identity remains a secret. As Zak learns to navigate this new covert life, he must deal with the complexities of adolescence while taking on dangerous missions.
