Andromeda, Princess of Ethiopia: The Legend in The Stars

What’s inside...

Since the dawn of humanity, Ethiopia has been home to some of history's most influential figures, including one of the earliest hominids, Lucy. Ancient legends of Ethiopians were recorded in Greek mythology, including the tale of Princess Andromeda, daughter of King Cepheus and Queen Cassiopeia. Her beauty provoked Poseidon's wrath, leading to her near sacrifice to a sea monster, but she was saved and wed by the hero Perseus. Their story is immortalized in constellations still visible in Ethiopian skies. Ready Set Go Books, part of the Open Hearts Big Dreams Project, aims to raise literacy rates in Ethiopia by providing books in local languages, enriched with vibrant illustrations and Ethiopian proverbs. Profits fund further production and distribution of these books to Ethiopian children, supporting the growth of literacy in a country where it is critically needed.
