Follow the journey of a young girl, Ellie, and a cockerel named Cluck, as they learn important life lessons in their respective stories. Ellie discovers the importance of punctuality and responsibility through her magical alarm clock after repeatedly oversleeping and facing adventurous consequences. Cluck, on the other hand, learns the value of kindness and helping a friend in need as he struggles to figure out the appropriate time to crow on the farm. Both stories are part of Reading Champion, a series designed to encourage independent reading skills, developed with Dr Sue Bodman and Glen Franklin of UCL Institute of Education (IOE), and include engaging artwork and reading activities to reinforce developing reading skills.
