His rough, ugly appearance makes people afraid of him and they chase him away. Alex, an equally lonely boy is looking for a friend. These two outcasts find true friendship with each other but not without some consequences. Love and loyalty win out and everyone learns that beauty and friendship are found in the most unlikely places. About the author: Denise Carey-Costa is the author of "A Tale of Three Tails" and "Edwin's Flight." She resides in Orlando, Florida and spends her time as an author, speaker, and advocate for animals. Denise is currently working on several new books for children.
