Description
Macbeth, a general in the Scottish army, is given a prophecy by three witches that he will become the King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the throne. However, he is wracked by guilt and paranoia, leading to further bloodshed. As he unravels, his own tyranny and the prophecy's true nature prove his undoing.
