Amy hopes to impress her family with her ventriloquism skills, but strange things start happening once Slappy arrives. The dummy appears to be alive, causing mischief and terrorizing Amy's family. Amy discovers that Slappy is animated by a dark spirit after reading the magic words that came with him. As the situation escalates, Amy and her brother, Jed, work together to stop Slappy's reign of terror. They eventually succeed in defeating the dummy, restoring peace to their household.
