Rapid Reading is a catch-up intervention reading scheme designed to help children who are behind in their reading to triple their rate of progress. This book is suitable for children age 7 and above with a reading age of 5 years to 5 years 6 months. It is part of the Rapid Reading intervention series by Pearson and is at the Rapid Stage: Starter Level 2A, equivalent to the green book band. The design supports readers with dyslexia and includes features to help all struggling learners, including those with SEND, develop comprehension skills, reading fluency, and confidence. The book contains one fiction text and one non-fiction text on a similar theme, and it includes 'Before reading' notes and 'Quiz' questions to aid understanding and boost reading confidence. It is ideal for home learning.
