There is bad luck, good luck, and making your own luck – and Summer knows all about each kind. Having a little brother, an old grandmother, and no parents isn’t the best luck. Discovering that they must leave home and work in wheat fields is not good luck. Being hated by everyone – wherever you go – well, that’s just bad luck.
