Un puente hasta Terabithia (Bridge to Terabithia) is a novel by Katherine Paterson that tells the story of Jess Aarons, a young boy who dreams of being the fastest runner in his grade. He meets Leslie Burke, a new girl in town, who beats him in a race and becomes his friend. Together, they create an imaginary kingdom in the woods named Terabithia, where they reign as king and queen. This secret sanctuary becomes a place of friendship and adventure for them, as they use it to escape the challenges of their everyday lives. However, tragedy strikes when Leslie dies in an accident while visiting Terabithia alone. Jess struggles with his grief and guilt, but ultimately finds the courage to accept the loss of his friend. He honors Leslie's memory by sharing the magic of Terabithia with his younger sister, May Belle, thus passing on the legacy of imagination and friendship.
