The Heroes of Olympus

In 'The Son of Neptune', the second book of 'The Heroes of Olympus' series by Rick Riordan, Percy Jackson, suffering from amnesia, finds himself at Camp Jupiter, a camp for Roman demigods. Percy quickly proves himself in battle and embarks on a quest with Hazel Levesque and Frank Zhang, two fellow campers with their own mysterious pasts. They are tasked with freeing the god of death, Thanatos, who is imprisoned in Alaska, to prevent the earth goddess Gaia from unleashing her forces and destroying the world. Along the way, the trio must overcome personal challenges and come to terms with their identities and destinies. Percy discovers that he is a Greek demigod with a Roman aspect, and together, they work to bridge the gap between the Greek and Roman worlds. The novel concludes with the heroes returning to Camp Jupiter with new allies, setting the stage for a larger conflict between the gods and Gaia's giants.
