Stage 3 First Phonics and Biff, Chip and Kipper Stories are the latest additions to their respective series. Both sets of books help children practice phonics while learning to read, with each set consisting of six titles. The stories are authored by Roderick Hunt with colorful illustrations by Alex Brychta. They focus on initial and final consonants, CVC, CVCC/CCVC words, and reception/Y1 sight words. The books provide rich story contexts to develop language comprehension and decoding skills, longer stories to build on Stage 2 reading skills, and include high frequency vocabulary with repetitive text to build fluency.
